A major milestone in scouting and player development for the Orioles.
The Dominican Republic Baseball Academy is a 22.5-acre complex and home to the Orioles’ regional facility for Caribbean, Central, and South American player development operations.
It includes three full fields, a sports turf agility field, batting and pitching tunnels, educational facilities, administrative buildings, and dormitories. The complex houses more than 100 players, coaches, and staff – and gives Baltimore an edge in a market that will continue to produce elite Major League talent year after year.
Here’s the story.
In fall 2020, Project 13 was asked to develop a brand and signage package for the Baltimore Orioles’ new, state-of-the-art training academy in Guerra, Dominican Republic.
Simple, modern and timeless, the brand we created speaks directly to the Orioles’ strengthened commitment to international player development. The brand extends seamlessly throughout the complex across building and wayfinding signage, apparel, marketing materials and more.
Dedication and talent.
Project 13 is proud to have been a part of an extraordinary team of dedicated and talented professionals in this significant achievement including:
- Project Manager: MIKE SHAPIRO
- Dominican Republic Vice Minister of Sports: ELVIS DUARTE
- Orioles Vice President of International Scouting and Operations: KOBY PEREZ
- Architect: JMF ARQUITECTOS
- Installation & Fabrication: HIRCA SIGNS
- and so many more.
